In February, Timothy was asked to speak at the statehouse in front of the Joint Ag Committee about why it is so important for the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (and the Vermont Land Trust) to keep receiving funding that keeps farmers on the land. We were so happy to help in this small way to demonstrate the importance of farmland conservation.
After we were through with the panel, we were surprised with a personal tour of the state building by our town’s representative, John Malcolm! It was fun getting the inside scoop and seeing what happens where. Needless to say, the gals were pretty “wowed” by everything. It was a fabulous day, celebrating farmers – capitol style.
